With a modern graphics card that supports pixel- and vertex-shaders Archimedes can shadow a whole scene. This often gives better results than the aforementioned projective shadow. The scene must contain exactly one light. In this case global shadows can be activated using Extras - Activate global shadows. The only way to switch off the shadow is to restart the program. Be sure to use the Shadow-map method, as the SoftShadowMap algorithm does not work well at the moment.
