If you select a point and a linear object (line, segment, circle), you can define a new animation via ’Extras - new animation’.
The point (or light, that is a point in this sense) does not need to be attached to the linear object.
Start- and endpoint of the animation can be entered in the dialogue that shows up after defining the animation. Usually you will adjust the point’s position in the scene and get those values into the animation-dialogue by pressing ’Get value from construction’. The step-value determines how fast the point will be moved. The refresh-rate is 30Hz (or slower, if your computer is not fast enough!).
For an example have a look at the file ’Lightshow’ in the example-folder. Start the animation with Extras - Start / Stop animations.
