### 13 Transformations

Using Archimedes Geo3D you can define the usual geometrical transformations:

- Reflection on a point
- Reflection on a line
- Rotation
- translation
- linear map
- Parallel- and central projection

The transformation as an object is defined through geometrical objects, i.e. a reflection on a
point through a point. To actually transform a point you have to select the point and the
transformation-object, and then click on the point-symbol.

While this might not seem intuive at first, it has the advantage that you have the same
procedure for every transformation.

Currently only points, lines and segments can be transformed. To transform more than one
object, select all objects to be transformed and the transformation last. Then press the
point-button (or alt-p). Selected objects that are not points, lines or segments will be
ignored.

Select an arbitrary set of objects and make sure that the last object is a transformation, then
press the point-symbol. All points, lines and segments will be transformed, all other objects
ignored.
